Divertente corto gore di Guy, regista di diversi cortometraggi e film, tra cui The Sound of Summer (2022), portato fortunatamente in dvd in Italia qualche anno fa.
Consiglio la visione a tutti gli amanti del gore casereccio. Da guardare con il sorriso sulle labbra. Molto utili i suggerimenti per creare la propria rope maiden ahahah!!!
Non ho ben capito gli insensati inserti presenti qua e là nella pellicola, ma non fa niente. Così è tutto più surreale ahah.

Recently I watched Guy Pearce’s short film Difficulty Breathing—a masterpiece of tension, marking him as a director to keep an eye on. The Rope Maiden is an earlier effort and, though far from the tone of Difficulty Breathing, you can already see his talents for timing and foul imagery.
A grimy, distorted, loving tribute to Guinea Pig-esque torture films, The Rope Maiden takes a hilarious, deadpan approach with Guy himself mutely delivering cheesy rope-themed one-liners in-between his gory creation of a “human chandelier”. It manages to be sickly funny and legitimately capture the aesthetic of late 80s Japanese scuzz.
